I want you to be able to read the menu, check the opening hours and book a table even if you use a screen reader, only a keyboard, zoom or larger text. Here I tell you where I stand, what does not work well yet and how to reach me anyway.

What you can do on this site
Read the menu, the wine list and the beers, check hours and address, book a table, buy a gift card, join the Tessera del Nipote loyalty card and ask me for a quote for parties and companies. The pages are mine; booking, gift cards and the Tessera go through a form by Pienissimo, the booking system I use.
Where I stand
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA, the reference of the European standard EN 301 549 named in Italian Legislative Decree 82/2022. I also check the WCAG 2.2 criteria a machine can test.
Partially means this: the pages I write pass the checks, but some parts come from other providers and I cannot test or fix them myself. You find them below, each with another way to get what you need.
What works
- Every page has headings in order, text alternatives on photos, labels on buttons and fields and a declared language, so screen readers read it well.
- Everything works with the keyboard, and you can always see where you are.
- Pages read well from the narrowest phone to a computer, also with text at 200% and wider spacing between lines and letters, with no sideways scrolling.
- Colours have the right contrast and buttons are easy to tap.
- Pages can be read with JavaScript turned off.
- Videos that move by themselves stop with the “Stop videos” button, and start paused if you asked your phone for less motion.
- The video testimonials have subtitles in the video and, below, the full transcript (in Italian).
What is not fully accessible yet
- Booking form, gift cards and Tessera. They are a Pienissimo frame: I do not control it and cannot guarantee it works well with a screen reader or keyboard. I have asked Pienissimo to check it. Meanwhile call me on +39 02 5275176 or message me on WhatsApp at +39 379 149 1002: I will book for you. You can also buy a gift card on the phone or at the restaurant, and I will prepare it for you.
- The PDF menus. They are laid out with a design tool and a screen reader cannot always read the text. The menu, the wine list and the beers are also written on the site’s pages; for desserts, drinks and the Percorsi menus call me and I will read them to you.
- The cookie banner. It comes from Cookiebot, which I do not control. If it gets in your way, call or message me and I will give you the same information another way.
- The map. It is Google Maps; the address and directions are also written on the page.
If something does not work for you
Tell me: phone +39 02 5275176 (every day 9:30 to 15:30 and 17:30 to 22:30, Italian time), WhatsApp +39 379 149 1002, email info@nonnaemilia.it. I reply within 30 days and meanwhile give you what you need another way. I can also tell you everything on this page by voice, on the phone or at the restaurant.
If my answer does not satisfy you, you can file a complaint with AgID, the Italian Digital Agency that oversees accessibility: www.agid.gov.it.
How I checked
Self-assessment, with automatic checks that run on every change before it goes live:
- axe-core, on WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 level A and AA rules, at phone and computer size, on the main pages and on every new or changed page;
- browser tests with the Chrome and Safari engines: widths from 320 to 1440 pixels, text at 200%, wide text spacing, a full keyboard tour, the page without JavaScript, valid HTML;
- every Monday the same tests on all pages, and once a month also in Firefox.
No check collects information about any disability of the people visiting the site.
Dates and responsible person
