A journey along the Via Emilia without leaving the table.
The Via Emilia runs from Rimini to Milan, through Bologna, Modena, Reggio Emilia, Parma and Piacenza. I cook its stops and its three cuisines, Romagna, Emilia and Lombardy, here in San Donato Milanese, on the M3 metro line just south of Milan.
I am Nonna Emilia, the Via Emilia Restaurant, just south of Milan: I cook the three kitchens of the Via Emilia, Romagna, Emilia and Lombardy, with pasta rolled by hand every morning. Take the yellow M3 metro line to San Donato, then walk 1.3 km. I am open every day, with a menu in English.

Amazing food we loved every meal!! Especially the meatballs, the tagliatelle and the braised beef and ravioli! Veronica was our server and she was so knowledgeable about helping us pair our wines with meal. Had an amazing night & we will be back for sure!

The food is delicious, the service is excellent, an important point for me - all the waiters speak English, so I have no problem asking for anything. I fully recommend it.

One of the most wonderful dining experiences, made possible, from one of the best services teams I have experienced in a long time . Graciously taking the time to guide you through the incredible dining experience, and pairing drinks with the food selection, that just compliment it perfect. An absolute must for all that enjoy real food. Nonna Emilia, totally top class. Thank you Veronica and team. I will be back again. Grazie.

“
Fantastic place. The food was amazing and the servers were spectacular! I had so much food that I had to take most of it home, which I’ve found unusual in Italy. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Let me choose for you
A Percorso is my tasting menu: I choose the dishes in the order of the road, and you just travel. The Percorso Via Emilia is the whole road in four courses, 39 per person, for at least two. If a dish isn't for you, I'll change it.
At dinner, from 19:00 to 22:00. Two paired glasses of wine from 11 per person.
Via EmiliaThe whole road: Antipasto della Nonna with hot gnocco fritto, Tagliatelle 1955, the Rosa di Parma with a Lambrusco sauce and a dessert jar of your choice. The glass with the starter is on me.39 per person

PorciniTartare d’Autunno, Pappardelle del Bosco with 60-month Parmigiano Reggiano and Il Filetto della Cascina. The welcome glass of Blanc de Blancs by Cleto Chiarli is on me.49 per person
The same menu my Italian guests read, translated page by page: the same dishes, the same prices. The symbols show which stage of the Via Emilia each dish comes from, and the allergens are marked next to each dish, with the key on page 26.
Can’t decide? Ask the staff: they will point you the right way.
My promise
If a dish does not win you over, I change it or take it off the bill.
Just tell the staff after the first bites. No questions, no fuss.
