The brewery

Retorto, founded in 2011 like my house.

A small, award-winning brewery, named after a village in Val Nure. I have put its beers next to the dishes along my road.

Since 2011

Retorto was founded in 2011 in Alta Val Nure, in the Piacenza hills. It is the same year I opened my doors.

A microbrewery

Small batches. It was set up by Marcello Ceresa, together with his siblings Monica and Davide.

Award-winning

In 2015 it won first place at Birra dell’Anno by Unionbirrai, with Daughter of Autumn. And two beers on my menu are in the Slow Food guides: Latex Più in 2021, Morning Glory as a «Grande Birra» in 2017.

Live beers

Unpasteurised: there may be a natural yeast sediment at the bottom of the bottle.
